Frequently asked questions

What does “non-medical” mean?

Repair It does not provide medical care, therapy, or licensed trade services. We do not perform plumbing, electrical, structural repairs, or medical treatment. Our focus is on safety, prevention, and maintaining a supportive living environment.

Who is this service for?
  • Individuals who want to remain safely in their home

  • Families who want peace of mind

  • Adult children supporting aging parents

  • Those using mobility or aging-in-place equipment

What is the $50 on-call service?

If something comes up between visits, on-call support is available for $50 per visit. This provides prompt, familiar help from someone who already knows the home and situation.

Why monthly visits?

Safety risks often develop gradually — clutter builds up, furniture shifts, lighting changes, mobility needs evolve. A consistent monthly visit helps ensure the home continues to serve the individual over time.

Is this the same as a handyman service?

No. While small adjustments may be made during visits, the primary purpose of Repair It is ongoing home safety care — not general contracting or renovation work.

How do I get started?

Simply contact us to schedule an initial visit. We’ll walk through the home, discuss needs, and begin monthly care focused on maintaining a safe environment to grow older in.
